Qandeel Baloch, a Pakistani starlet who lost her life after her brother strangled her to death over an argument. Here is what you can learn from her death!
We recently lost Abdul Sattar Edhi and Amjad Sabri. When these two people died, the whole world had shaken. Karachi was in shambles. But today, when I got a news about Qandeel Baloch’s there was a fuzz about her death, but no mourning. That doesn’t mean Pakistani people do not feel for her, they do!
Some people came out saying good words on Twitter, Facebook and on other social media websites. Why aren’t we actually sad ? Are we stonehearted ? Well, these 5 lessons will answer all of these queries.
1. Do not go for “Easy money”
Shortcuts lead to broken bridges. Qandeel Baloch chose “Easy Money”. Instead of respected life, she exhibits her body to get people’s attention, and 80% of the people got attracted which is not a lie! For all the people reading this, Easy money works like a poison, this is the reason which turned her brother into her killer!
For all the people reading this, Easy money works like a poison, this is the reason which turned her brother into taking revenge from her (Which was wrong) but somehow she lost her life because she had more money than they could ever earn.
2. Put your Family first
Family comes first! always keep this in mind. Before you take any step in life, think about what you family will think. Will they be proud of you ? or will they face humiliation because of the step you’re going to take ?
Sometimes, it gets harder that you can’t take a step because it is not good for your family, but is good for you. Always remember, everything has an opportunity cost which we implicitly pay. A Family is worth having sacrifices. That’s what makes our life beautiful and lively.
3. Don’t chose a way which makes your parents ashamed of you
We live in a society of conservatives. So, it’s a bit tougher for a Pakistani girl to opt for what she wanted to do. Keeping the fact in mind, that your parents have been through your age and know much more than you, but if you think you can make a difference, then make them believe you. You have to make them trust you. Keep them posted what you’re up to.
Do not choose a way like Qandeel Baloch did. Which made her parents ashamed of her and at the end lost her life to her own brother.
4. Other ways to gain fame
There is no shame in wanting Fame, everybody wants to be famous and to be in the spotlight. But try to get fame in a POSITIVE way. Want an example ? “Alamgir’s Fix it Campaign” a perfect example of how you should gain fame by doing positive things.
Fame is not always negative, it can be used as a motivator to gather more people to do great work.
5. Leave something “Good” behind
Abdul Sattar Edhi and Amjad Sabri got tributes. Why not Qandeel Baloch ? I am not comparing! but it’s just a question. The reason is, those two left something “Good” for this world.
People should do Positive stuff such as “Charity, be kind, helping” or paying the bills of the unprivileged people. Everyone has to die, not now, but soon. So, why not start a positive endeavour now ?
