A story of a girl from Austria. Who converted to Islam after living many years without a religion. This story is an epitome of love for Islam.
Salam Alaykum, Dear brothers, and sisters!
I’m a 17-year-old convert from Austria. My parents raised me without any religion, but somehow I always believed in god. First I tried to identify with Christianity, but that was nothing for me.
Then my grandparents told me that my ancestors were Jewish, so I tried to live this religion, but I found no Jewish friends and the Rabbi from a synagogue here didn’t let me convert what made me lose my faith. Some years later, last summer I started to work with many refugees and made new friends, most of them were Muslim. I always wondered how hey never lost their faith even though their hard journey to Europe.
I couldn’t believe that Islam and terrorism were the same, like all medias here were telling us. So I started to do research and was more and more interested in Islam. At this time a very good friend of mine (non-Muslim) fell in love with a Muslim, she converted weeks later and now they get married alhamdullilah.
She always told me about her hardships with her family, who didn’t accept her anymore, but also how good she feels now being a Muslim. She inspired and strengthened me. I began going to the mosque, praying, reading the Quran, dressing and behaving differently, feeling more and more confident. After my long journey searching for the One, I realized Allah is the One, the One I live for, I’m doing good things for.
I have never been so happy and satisfied. Now I know He guided me through all the other religions knowing I’m gonna stay with Him when I find Him.
