An eleven years old kid, Bilal Ahmed, a student of The City School has built a drone at Microsoft Innovation Centre in Karachi.
Microsoft recently posted about him on their facebook page;
According to Microsoft, Bilal Ahmed has built a number of robots at different places. Bilal Ahmed aims to build Bionic Suit which will help paralyzed people walk again. Moreover, the drone he built has been working efficiently as well as all the functions are working perfectly.
Bilal Ahmed learned coding from his father at a very young age. His sheer talent makes Bilal Ahmed stand out as one of the eminent kids in this country. According to Microsoft, Bilal has shown potential to do great things in coming years.
As we talk about his Drone, Bilal’s drone can fly up-to 1,500 feet and is identical to the ones used in security purpose. It is made of aluminium and has the ability to take HD photos. Furthermore, bilal has coded it very intelligently that it will stabilize the images even when the camera is shaking. It has the function of GPS, which allows the operator to put it on Autopilot which makes it auto Take off or land.
Bilal has used Microsoft’s Raspberry Pi 2, Visual Studio and Windows 10 IoT Core software to program this drone. Bilal has proved that you do not need a college degree or miraculous studies to think creatively, it takes a genius mind to change the whole world.
