Jakarta: every after 3 years they dug the dead and took their coffin out and dress them! YES! This is a strange ritual in which a tribe of Indonesia, who dress their dead loved ones, and dress them and put makeup to pay their respect to them!
Persons belonging to the tribe in Indonesia island Sulawesi, are digging bodies out of the grave of their dead loved ones and clothe them new clothes after every 3 years. According to them, it is an ancient ritual which is to respect and love of the dead. And this ritual is being followed throughout the generations belongs to this tribe in Indonesia.
This ritual means to “Clean the Bodies” who died on the soil of their motherland, they give the dead bodies bath and put on makeup and dress them with new clothes worn by family members. The practice, also known as the ‘body‘ of the purification process and this process has continued for over a century. The people here are poor but they continue to raise money for deceased relatives decor and inject then bathe and dress the dead in a celebration. The duration of this ritual is one week, though this week they dug the graves and dress the dead.
The interesting thing is that the body is wrapped in plastic and textile layers to avoid being damaged. The tribe also believe that after death is not the end of life is dead. Their generation is determined to do it for the upcoming years and the next generations to come!
